I had been suffering from chronic knee pain from osteo arthritis for nearly five years that despite lots of other efforts (yoga, exercise, supplements) was not improving very much. More recently, I had also began to experience intermittent numbness on the right side of my face, hand and/or foot as well, which concerned me a great deal. Despite several rounds of medical tests, including two MRI's, and a neurology consultation, a diagnosis for the numbness was not clear.

After putting it off for a long time, I finally decided to look into acupuncture treatment. Within a month or two I had not only experienced considerable relief from the chronic knee pain, but to my surprise the numbness had lessened and became less frequent as well.

I have found the acupuncture with Shilpa Dias a wonderfully positive experience, and not just because of the symptom relief. A decade after being diagnosed with Meniere's Disease, I began to suffer increasingly frequent and debilitating bouts of vertigo and nausea. During the worst periods, I was unable to walk and had to crawl across the floor to avoid falling down. I became afraid to drive, or even leave the house, with dizzy spells occurring about every other week. My physician's answer was to prescribe a sedative, which while knocking out the dizziness, succeeded in knocking me out as well, requiring a day and a half of recuperation. While this was better than dizziness and vomiting, it was not good enough, and I began looking for alternatives.
